Well maybe, it is written that He did talk to spirits and and He did talk with those Prophets(Elijah and Moses) on the Mountain (Transfiguration).

Yes He certainly did

I remember thinking at one point that God instead of choosing Angels to have a 'chat' with Jesus He chose those who had themselves experienced the trials of life being part and parcel of a Human on Earth. According to Scriptures He frequently talked to Spirits as you pointed out...... mainly the Spirit of His Father.

Jesus has been called many things - medium, teacher, healer are some of those things.

But today someone speaking (telepathically) with discarnate individuals for the benefit of the incarnate individual isn't necessarily the same as being a medium.

In the movement and religion that influences my own thinking a 'medium' communicates with those said to be dead in order that she can use the communication to help someone alive on earth.

And it can also help the spirit to say many things...that is of no help necessarily to the living, but
only to the spirit communicating.
Why limit the reason for the connection to the spirit, I say.
And yes, Jesus was many things; medium,yeah.

IMHO the idea of Jesus conducting seances is ridiculous. “Let the dead bury the dead”. …..i.e. if you are spiritually dead have a care for the dead and look to them for help. By doing that you are breaking the first great commandment of Jesus. The focus of Jesus was for mankind to seek the connection to God rather than seeking consolation from the dead.

Seances? Who said anything about seances needed to be connected to messages from the Other Side, Mo?
And that phrase, the way I see it, doesn't apply here.
Let the unaware, the unawakened bury their unaware, lost dead ones.

There are different types of Mediums and not all conduct Seances. Jesus obviously possesed various Psychic Powers/Abilities which are described in the Gospels so why not Mediumship.......

That is true but one thing i was told when i was young.
You have a gift to Help others.
it is not for your own vanity or fame.
My grandmother told me that along with we are for such a short time so treat Mother earth with respect.
it is only on loan to us for the time we are here.
She was'nt a Religious person but she always used to say that Jesus was the first Medium.
