Am I safe? What do I do now?

I came across a video on youtube and was intrigued by his explaining on contacting his mother and other relatives/friends that have past. I thought I would try it out for myself and so asked could I speak to a spirit that has passed, a loved one/relative that has a message. This is my first time doing anything like this. I am new to my amethyst pendulum also. I am also new to tarot/lenormand.

I asked for white light energy and protection and no negative bad energy/bad light. I used a pendulum chart that I printed off online.

It spelled out my great nan and great uncle's names. Both has past.
I didn't have much time so said I had to go soon.
Then it was going between J/K and I said I'm Jess.
Then they spelled out JESS BYE.
I said bye, thank you for speaking, I'm so grateful and I think I said this is the end of the reading.

I spun the pendulum anti-clockwise and asked to cleanse of negative spirits/badlight then clockwise and asked to return to earth.

Later on I ran my pendulum under the running cold tap. I said any door is closed.

I am really thankful for this reading but now I am panicking a little that I could have opened doors to the other side and possibly let in a bad spirit or demon or something like this. I'm scared to use my pendulum or cards. More so freaked out I suppose. My family don't know I have used this. They don't seem to feel or appear any different.

It has been a week today since this reading and nothing has happened, however I keep thinking that something will. I am feeling really scared this will happen and have severe anxiety now, especially just even thinking about the pendulum. I'm no longer myself.

Have I done everything correctly? Is the doors closed? Can Tarot cards also connect to spirits?

What do I do with the cards and pendulum? Are they safe to be left or should I chuck in the bin or burn?

I know my reply is late but thought I'd post anyway.

From what you posted, you're not in any trouble as you protected yourself with the white light. You politely closed/ended your session plus you cleansed the pendulum which I hope is hard enough to withstand the water. Some crystals, like selenite, are soft so do dissolve in water. You can keep your tools if you want. I suggest you cleanse yourself and the area where you did your divination. There are a few methods for cleansing so you can look in the forums for that info. I suggest using sea salt.

I have a tarot deck that likes to connect to ancestors but other decks can if that's your intention to connect to ancestors. Decks need to be cleansed as well. You can place crystals on top of decks or place the decks on your altar if you have one. There are other methods to cleanse decks.
