The problem is how to transliterate words from Sanskrit in Roman characters. I would transliterate the word for the cakra at the third as ājñā. This follows the ITRANS notation. ITRANS is an ASCII transliteration scheme for Indic scripts, particularly for the Devanagari script, in which Sanskrit is normally written. When special scripting characters are not available ājñā becomes ajna. Local variation in pronunciation of Sanskrit words makes ājñā into agya. Agya is typically the way it is pronounced in north India. ājñā means command. Not sure how the cakra gets its name though.

I just don't use any Hindu words. No linguistics required. Problem sorted. :)

Ah, I stumbled upon what is important if you want to get to pineal gland, get to Gamma brain waves and have that ecstatic experience: you have to get through the thalamic gate at the brainstem in order to get there.

That all sounds very mechanical but the whole process requires surrender which is not mechanical nor easy. If you slip into fear for what you feel is happening you'll lose it.

Hi kris, Since command surprised me...I looked it up.
''Ajna, which means “perceive,” “command” or "beyond wisdom" in Sanskrit,
is the name for the chakra located between the eyes.''

Was cakra a typo?

Thank you, Miss Hepburn. ājñā means to know, understand, find out, ascertain. Only in its causative conjugation, it means to order, command, direct, etc. cakra is correct. It can mean something round, as in circle or wheel, etc. The cakra I have personal experience with, viśuddhacakra, is round with sixteen 'live' blue petals. By live, I mean they flicker as you see them. cakra has PIE (proto Indo-European) root. The world cycle in English derives from the same PIE root.

Only those, because of their work, use ITRANS for writing Sanskrit words and hence cakra. But chakra is fine and phonetically correct with rules of English. I think the ITRANS 'c' is the Latin 'c' which is like English 'ch'. As for the other pair, karma is Sanskrit and kamma is Pali and they both mean act or action.

Indeed, the Bindu chakra (that bald spot at back of head) is the source of soma nectar and yet, if I may add, as we go along, each node holographically represents the whole, vibrant with bliss magnetism!
