CFS From Flu - Anyone Else Who Deals With This Have It Originate From Flu?

Even though this happned long before I came into this body, upon doing my research, healing work, and going back into the origins of ailments with this body, I came to the conclusion of the CFS/chronic fatigue syndrome having its origins from a very nasty flu (which is entirely possible, and one reason why I have been reading about "COVID Long Haulers").

I am interested in knowing if anyone else who has CFS, if its origins is also from the flu, and what you may have done to help the solar plexus/digestive system.

I have done a lot of work in this area already, but I am asking to see if there may be new ideas for me.

There are some interesting books I saved samples of:

The Psychobiotic Revolution
The Good Gut
The Mind Gut Connection (I think I remembered that right)

These seem very interesting with regards to the gut's importance on the immune system, as the second brain, and a host of other interesting matters.

I came down with something in early Spring 2018 which at first I thought was a kind of "flu" but it was not classic flu with all the symptoms. It just felt the way you feel the FIRST day you are coming down with flu....and went on and on .
It happened very suddenly.
In the fourth week it affected my gut. Then that passed. But for two years it affected every aspect of my life and the doctors (I saw two) thought it was post-viral syndrome.Blood tests, neurologist's exam and CT scan were normal.
I had always bounced back from anything I caught before in my life. It was very strange.
I kept getting remissions and relapses. It would go away for a while then come back. Nothing I tried helped it, and I tried many vitamins and supplements, and herbal medicines.

Then in early 2020 I caught Covid. For a couple of weeks before Covid symptoms, I had a very bad gut. That also came and went. But then the classic Covid symptoms started. They were quite dramatic, but I recovered, and for a few weeks felt much better generally.
I even believed Covid had somehow cured me!

I felt much better for weeks, then the gut symptoms started again. Then later....dizziness, heart symptoms, etc And post-exertional malaise. (for instance I would feel better and go for a walk for a few miles. Two days after, I would get all the symptoms return with a terrible exhaustion.)

Owing to Covid restrictions there was no point going to the doctor, but I did get stool analyses done, and those were all normal. The doctor thinks I have IBS. (on the phone last June)

I am not sure if it's a carry-over from what happened in 2018 or if it's "long Covid".

New symptoms started as well as the old ones. GERD was a nuisance. Heart missing beats also continually

What I have found helped me since last Autumn were: a long course of homeopathic treatment with a qualified practitioner.....manuka honey (medical grade)....the low FODMAP diet......trying to "pace" my activities so as not to use up too many resources too fast....DGL licorice (to help the gut)....my own blend of herbal bitters.

I still crash and have relapses but had been making a little improvement generally.

I know that in my situation, it parallels my 'spiritual work' (non-physical healing work) with regards to getting worse before getting better. Similar to a healing crisis, and so I don't know how much is involved with the more physical aspects, and how much is involved with the more non-physical aspects. I used to think the CFS was a part of the Fibromyalgia that I was healing at the time, but I learned through my research and healing work that it definitely wasn't.

While I have my own custom 'cocktail' of supplements and tinctures, for the more physical aspects, I really am trying to get some clarity with the more non-physical aspects. I was able to recently come up with two essence combinations to add to my Elder Protection tincture, and my Adaptogen tincture. I also have an Allergy tincture which I started to take again, but have not yet developed an essence combination to add into that.

As I'm on 'medicaid', there's no way that I'd be able to see a naturopathic type doctor as medicaid doesn't cover alternative/natural remedies - so I've been teaching myself and using myself as a guinea pig going through the process of elimination.

I do have one bitters blend I made - it's an orange bitters, and I love drinking that with Lemon Water. That helps me feel better (and I should get back into doing that). I've been drinking Kevita drinks too and have probiotics, but am saving those for when I have to take anti-biotics for my last surgery. The only other time I do 'dip into' them is when I am really not feeling well. Last February I was doing healing work (non-physical stuff) and suddenly wound up with intestinal distress that was just like the flu that I wound up with back in late '08 (vomiting and diarrhea). This time I was completely fine except for the diarrhea. After it going on for over 5 days, I went to the walk-in clinic and they gave me a test kit. So I did that and took it to the hospital, but there was nothing there. I was completely fine, and this is what I mean by getting worse before I get better that I mentioned initially.

I don't know if a part of me is looking to somehow alleviate the physical symptoms and flare-ups that happen as a result of the non-physical work that I do, or what I'm looking for really...but that may be what it is. I'm just trying to somehow 'mitigate' the physical healing crisis as a result of doing healing on the non-physical levels, because it can be so bad for me.

In my case I feel it's all a part of a dark night of the soul experience. There was lovely light before this, for a few years, strength, grace, then in 2018 I was suddenly plunged into its apparent opposite in every way. Yes it is definitely connected to spiritual growth. I accept it and will do my best to work with it and what it teaches.

It has taught me a lot already. I am grateful for the smallest things and count my blessings.

I am reminded of some with severe ME/CFS who literally are in a living hell, unable to speak, bear light in their eyes, hear any sounds, hardly able to eat, use the bathroom or move without symptoms getting much worse. They lie there day after day alone, locked into a body of suffering. And often not understood by doctors or family.

Could you have low stomach acid? If the citrus bitters helped you it is a possibility perhaps. Why did you stop taking them if they helped?

Low stomach acid can cause all sorts of upsets; malabsorption, improper digestion of food. H-Pylori can too.

Usually an experiment with additional acid and any improvement with that, can point to low stomach acid.

It's a shame your medicaid won't cover appointments with a naturopath. It's the same here really (UK) NHS won't cover it.

I got lazy - to put it bluntly. I am on a constant 24/7 "clearing mode" and sometimes I just slack off because I want a break that I cannot have, as my body has been (and still kind of is to a far lesser extent thankfully) a "channel" for purging the toxic energies of the (what I call) "false grid" of the planet. Since I was not born in/with this body, I am, I guess what some may call a "3rd element", because in order to clear out the "crud" of this body, I also had to clear out what it has been connected with on the collective/global/planetary level. This means that as I clear on the personal level, the old crud that was associated with the natal soul, I also clear out anything globally that was connected with said soul. This allowed me to have a deep insight into a lot of not very good things that has happened on the planetary level.

...and speaking of the bitters - I am currently working on an essence blend to put in it. I managed to come up with one for the Allergy tincture yesterday. Cannot say I was surprised at what all went into it.

Has anyone tried going to a pranic healer? Or tried pranic healing before? I know it has helped numerous people with their health.

Yup, after a mild flu, I got CFS in 1995-96...I was rundown at that time
running around with unhealthy eaters and drinkers for a time...
gosh, I remember even being dehydrated.
NOT a good time to then get the flu from a neighbor.
You and I talked about this ---Hanna Kroeger healed me with a regimen of
herbs and Homeopathic things.
It felt like a miracle! Finally, gone. MD's were worthless, at that time.
