There's a C of the E? You're kidding, right? Btw, enlightened is not a word I use...
what the heck does it even mean? (That was rhetorical!)
What point would you like to make. Just say it.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Miss Hepburn,
The point is, of course, just because one claims something does not mean that it is true. There are many people that claim, in front of a judge, that they are not guilty. The accepted facts often prove that they are guilty. We cannot be our own judge....that is left to others.

Prayer isn't what you think it is. All it is really capable of is allowing spiritual entities to interact with you. We have free will and they can only interfere with it if we specifically give them permission.

Praying to God for things is like praying to water.. You can pray to water all you want but its not going to magically hydrate you without you drinking it.

PureEvil760,

That allowing spiritual entities with you is not a minimal thing.....

How many times have prayers been answered and the one answering their prayer is an Angel?

Happiness is the result of an enlightened mind whereas suffering is caused by a distorted mind.

I said $152...and it was $152.37...I listened to a small voice inside me.
That's them!

I have a hard time with that. I tend to second-guess it, and I'm trying to learn not to.

I would hear "Take your umbrella" and say to myself, oh it's okay, I have one in the car.

And then it would be broken.

Argh...just listen Rose.

On praying for results in the physical world, I guess I kind of view that as treating God like a vending machine.

Me? I see Him as my Dad.
Like, a daughter asks - "Dad, can I borrow the car Friday night?"
''Sure, honey.''
(My real dad, tho terrible cuz we had karma together that got resolved this life,
would always fill it up before giving it to me. Then just bought me a car...nothing fancy...)

I don't pray anymore ---I just talk to God, "Could You BE more amazing?!"
Well, I pray regarding other people needing upliftment and courage...finishing off with, "I dunno why I'm even doing this!
You'll take care of everything perfectly...but people ask for prayers, Ya know?"
