I think chanting can be many things. In my experience it can resonate with energy and power for many purposes.
Long ago, I was on a bus with a group of Shoshone women and they taught everyone on the bus the chant for spring. It was simply beautiful and filled us with hope. I remember the chant to this day and chant it while I plant my garden.
There are times when a healing prayer becomes a chant and it resonates to a place where we see a bit farther than ourselves to help others.

This has reminded me of singing ancient sweat lodge songs
and feeling that it was connecting with all the ones who had ever song
that song in the past and that these songs never die but Live and echo on eternal...
Through the vibrations of the song the old ones
are drawn to help in the way only they now how to through their Medicine...
This is my belief and it speaks to my Heart...

I woke up again with a tepee and people chanting around a fire,
it was so real.my guide was there but the Chanting is Beautiful Haunting
once you hear it it is something you wont forget.

BEAUTIFUL eezi-ulgen - REALLY – You DO understand the - in DEPTH - of the indigenous viewpoint which baffles me.
How come??? …. You refuse to take a DNA test … for whatever reason … Maybe you should risk it and find out – you aren’t part - Asian – are you Amerind?
MY FamilytreeDNA test set me free - on my mother’s fraternal N line we are Norwegian Saami & on my mother’s female side they are Finnish Saami i.e., Magdalenian Doggerlanders which cannot be denied as the VERY ORIGINAL Europeans.
