Looking up posts / threads
How come when you want to look up a forum members posts/ threads , sometimes you can view them, but with many others it says "no matches"..
Does this mean you can choose to deactivate that facility or that the person in question is fake ????

This forum is a little bug-gy. Go to your browser, delete cookies, and it should come up.

Yeah, I don't know what that's all about, it can be frustrating to say the least. A possible workaround you could try is to use the search facility, search by user name in the top-right-hand corner, then click on 'show results as posts' in the bottom left and hit the 'search now' button - it's a bit of a faff, but it's always worked fine for me.

I've found no search function works once it stops working, bar clearing cookies.

Thank you all...
MissH knows me too well and this query comes after we had a conversation about how useless I am with technology , and also, I'm just on a phone so if people talk laptop/ computer, that does not apply to me.
It's just if you follow someone or would like to view a new members posts it's easier to look up their posts , and such a shame when it says "no matches" because it's virtually impossible to search the whole of all the forums to look for just a few posts!
So would the answer be that "no" , members do not have the option to hide their posts or threads from public view?

I've never had an issue with the search function on here. I've only run into issues when I've attempted to search a member's posts via their profile.

I've just checked my User CP and I can't see an option for that, so I don't think so, no.
