I was reading about the higher realms.

Above the 'Summerland'.

There are realms where the spirits do not see the use in having a body.

The information is scarce and patchy but I am intrigued.

Does anyone have any more info or can recommend a good sourcE?

It depends what you want.

If you want to read about it as a novel, there are plenty of sources (I'd recommend Jane Roberts' Seth books).

If you want to learn what there is there, the best way is to get it from your inner source of knowledge and guidance, leaving behind all your beliefs and expectations.

Getting exposed to others' beliefs is counterproductive, as what you expect is what you experience.

I recommend you use self-hypnosis, lucid dreaming, meditation, prayer, ... whatever method you prefer that puts you in a deep enough trance, then explore!

I doubt you'll get an authentic source on those matters. We read the beliefs and views of someone else. The 'methods' that Inavalan mentioned are already influenced by past experiences, and by other people's views and beliefs, and what we learn and what we see in our world. Nothing exists in a vacuum. Anything that is stored in your brain can be used for your 'spiritual experience'. Unless you go bye bye world there's no way to know for sure..

What the above posters have said is true, in the afterlife you have no body yet you think of yourself as a separate entity.We create our own surroundings.

Following on from my last post, eventually, after many experiences, you merge with your higher self.What happens from then on,I don't know

If you merged with your higher self, your HS will know.
There are to many variables to answer this for you.
Everyone is in a different situation, and your HS will know how you will progress.

I have no idea what Summerland is meant to be, yet if we move past the astral (4D) into 5D you can choose to have a form, what ever you line.
Even in the astral you can choose to some degree.

Summerland is where all your (illusionary) expectations are met.

The higher planes begin to shed those illusions.

From what I have read, we can't know what is in those higher planes are like because we have never been there. And we are not allowed there because our vibration is to low.
