Gone in a flash, he made me look forward to student life.
Its sad to see some people saying he was not a good actor, where comedy is the hardest thing to do and he was one of the few that made everyone laugh.

I keep trying to think of a time in the 80's that I didn't spend laughing at this man (and the others too) and I'm finding it hard to find it!

Ace Rimmer, a similar character to Lord Flash-heart, but on Red Dwarf and played by Chris Barrie who is still alive and well.

I remember it well. It was on a sketch show called "A kick up the 80s." I would've been about 10 years old at the time.
