Are you looking forward to winter?

For those of you who live in the northern hemisphere; are you looking forward to winter?

I prefer the colder months and I enjoy Halloween, Bonfire Night, St. Nicholas Day, Christmas and the New Year. Plenty to look forward to. After New Year I start looking forward to the Spring and the days start getting longer.

Hi Honza ,

Yes!
I am excited this year, for winter!
I love the leaves changing and the cool air!
I already have my costume figured out!

Thank you for starting this thread!

I like the holidays, but I hate the cold, wet weather. my clinical depression gets amplified by seasonal depression and I have a bad time after the holidays are over and gray, dreary winter keeps dragging on and on :(

Yes. Because in winter its rain season here in NorCal. Its dry all year, and when it rains here the mountains turn green.

I do miss the Christmas seasons in the Mid West/ East coast. The snow can be really romantic, esp with the spirit of the holidays. However, the snowy cold weather can also be very depressing, esp when its prolonged for months. Winters in the mid west would sometimes last for 6 months ( or until April) Yuck!, with all the lack of light and sun, it would have me feeling sick too!

Love love the holidays tho. Starts with Halloween season!

I love summers
but this winter, I hope to hike to a few mill sites (places where ore was crushed and ore such as silver would be
extracted) and I want to hike to a military camp which some records claim was a military fort.
Back during Mexican rule, the place was a fortified home.

No I'm not looking forward to winter. Autumn is my favorite season . If I were born and raised in Alaska I wouldn't have a problem with winter and snow . I'm from Wisconsin so I dislike when it's too hot or cold either way.

The autumn weather has kicked in. Another 6 months until the warm weather begins again. But I don't mind.
