Pearls before swine

A pearl is found within a hard shell. A pearl is also an inner truth you discovered about your life. If you tell these truths to nonbelievers they will be met with scorn. It is best to keep those experiences to yourself at that time. Once at a party, I stated talking to a gal about spiritual matters. Soon most of the women came over to listen.
It was new to them. Their husband's were not to keen on my talk. One guy was trying to convince his wife that my talk was crazy ****. She said to him Dave just shut up. He was shocked, but he did shut up.
The women were open to new ideas. I was closed up as well as those husband's at one time. But I always liked to learn. One day at a flea market I saw a book jacket picture which showed a depiction of reincarnation. For some reason, I felt fear upon viewing it. It was irrational.
As I learned more about it, those fears dissipated. It's like your head gets a crack in it so as to allow more light to get in. Then you start to search. With me it was books in the new age section. I heard 1 story where a guy asked spirit or God for some help while he looked for a book in an old used book store.
Bingo, a book falls to the floor, nit by anyone's hand. He buys it. You ask, you get.
For him it was another piece if the puzzle. When that thirst for truth gets you, you want more. So some people get the light in their head through an experience and may sit on it for years and then one day start their own search. I heard this story. A guy goes to the sage who lives in the woods. He says to the sage tell me all you know about God. At that the sage grabs the guy and tosses him into the nearby river and holds him under for 2 minutes.
He picks him up and asks what do you need most, he says air.
Well, when you want God more than air. You will have your answers. It applies today. The brave are those that venture on. In a dream I was on a path with my fellow ventures and the path came to the end next to the ocean. The others turned back.
I said why are you going back they say since the trail is done. I said why not continue and make your own path. Nope no takers. Keep on keeping on, no going back.
God is before you, you keep striding forward in you quest.

Before you get anywhere you have to rummage through the chaff to get to the seeds.

A pearl is a grain of sand that has found its way into the oyster's shell, caused an irritation and has been covered in mucus to reduce the irritation. That only increases the irritation and the pearl increases in size.

The truth is that a pearl is oyster snot that people place great value on, and a living creature has to pay the price.
