Can you control love?

I think love is a choice, when it come to loving someone else or vice versa.

We can accept and embrace or reject and resist it.

I feel though at our very core and essence we are love and I feel it depends on the kind of love whether it can be controlled or not. Perhaps romantic and platonic love can be moderated but true love not so much.

As someone who flits between believing what I feel to be love, limerence or my twin flame I can honestly say that I don't believe I'll ever be able to control it fully. I just have to accept that it's part of me.

I choose to do this and to love my partner and family with everything I can because the alternative would be chaotic and destructive.

It's a daily choice to ignore the pull and get on with life in the best way I can.

Love in all its forms is really only guiding us home at every stage of our life that it enters. The pull or drawing in is the natural drawing closer to you..you can’t control it or deny what it, especially when your ready to let go fully of control.

Sometimes we interpret love as being bigger or greater than other times, but I tend to relate this as ‘getting closer’ to the ‘heart’ of yourself. The closer and deeper it infuses in us, is often the closer and deeper we are meeting ourselves.

When you feel at home in you, love takes on a whole new world..

Lol... I am reading this just as I am realising the need to let go of a minor limerant episode (again).

At this point, my path directs me to focus my love and passion on my hobbles and to pretty much walk away from my entire relationship to relationships in general HAHA.....
Limerance is a tragedy... it's a state a person lives in when they feel that authentic love has never been and never will be possible for them. It is an absolute tragedy that any human has had to develop this coping strategy to function with no reliable and authentic connections in childhood to develop chronic limerance later in life.

Compassion... I'm letting go and starting towards the inward journey where I have become more of and to myself
