reiki for headaches

Hi all, does reiki stop chronic headaches? I have had a lot of tests and the tests show there is nothing wrong with me. I have tried acupuncture, physio, chiropractor and nothing has worked. I have tried a lot of different medication and it has not worked. I am keeping myself stress free as possible. I do not watch the news and I am doing things that I enjoy doing.

It might.
There are enough stories that suggest dis-ease vanishes miraculously.
There are as many stories where people apart from feeling soothed, relaxed and better did still suffer the condition that drove them to a reiki therapist in the first place.

The first time I treated someone she slept through the night for the first time since years.I felt that was pretty miraculous. That's as far as my direct experience stories go.

I did talk to people who experienced healings and reversals of dis-ease through Reiki as practitioners. I have seen some reversals as well, but often Reiki was amongst other main stream and alternative treatments, so I am unwilling to attribute those solely on Reiki.

As I said elsewhere. These days I think the "power" of reiki is onetha is akin to a spiritual path to enlightenment. Any "healing" then would be part of the spiritual development one undertakes. As opposed to a cure for any one ailment one can take as a pil, or a session.

I think if you are able to afford a hands on session from a reiki practitioner I'd try 1 or 2 of those and then decide if it seems a worthy healing modality to continue or even pursue. None of the flavored of Reiki out there are wrong. Just that many are filled with a lot of speculation about what it is and what it does. The new -age ideas have polluted much of the practise in my humble opinion.

Thank you Catsquotl. I have another avenue to try to get rid of my chronic daily headaches. I am seeing a physiotherapist this Thursday who only specialises in headaches and migraines. The physio said the pain is likely coming from my neck. The staff will check it out. I hope it is coming from my neck because they will be able to fix it. The physio also said the other physios and chiropractors treat other areas of the body whereas they only treat migraines and headaches. If the treatment does not work then I might try reiki.

I rem someone had a headache ...a friend in massage school said lay down ...then gently started playing with her hair....
gently like a little fairy...
The headache disappeared! Energy work similar to Reiki, watching it.
I'm Level 2, but never did anything with it, sorry.

Since you've tried many things -some thoughts just to try - off topic:

Something people don't think about is the colon, large intestine giving you headaches and dehydration (the brain is like a sponge, really needs water!)
...drink way more water for a week...and helps to get rid of toxins from the colon in the blood stream...going to your brain!

That would be 8-10 glasses/cups - or 64-80 ounces - (1 liter is about 34 ounces, btw).
You could if you wanted add more fiber in fruits and vegetables...cut anything with flour out ...just for a week, to see.

A person with REALLY bad headaches - not migraines apparently ...took
Magnesium! She was thrilled! Raving!
500 mg -1000mg---depending on your size. Never tablets --capsules, powder or liquid. If you get loose BMs or cramping -
reduce the amount. ---in 3 days you should see a diff.
