Boyhood (2014)

I recently saw Boyhood. What makes this movie unique and interesting is that it was filmed over a period of about 12 years and you can actually see the cast get older as the story progresses. What i didn't like about the movie is that there was pretty much no point to it, and that there was nothing redeeming or worthwhile about the story or even the characters. The acting wasn't bad though at least. They should try again but make a better story next time.

Personally, I actually liked the movie though I thought it was quite slow at places.

From what I know, the story was heavily influenced by the 'situations' and 'feelings' that the actors were experiencing as they were growing up, particularly the central character (the 'boy' of the movie). The philosophical questions discussed in the movie like 'what is the point of relationships' etc. were questions that he actually had in his mind. They kept evolving the story accordingly...
