Random songs in your head
I've had this so many times these past weeks. Just a few minutes ago I was reading up on angels and God and stuff, and I suddenly heard "knock- knock- knocking on heaven's door" in my head, haha. I usually never listen to these songs or haven't heard them in years.
I'd love to hear your experiences with random songs!

It was three or two weeks ago.
I was working out that day but I was soo tired, and it was very hard for me so I was thinking about quitting but then suddenly a song showed up on radio that said something like "Never give up... Never give up... Try harder... Try stronger..." and I decided to not give up.

Today I had "let the sunshine in", which I knew I had heard somewhere before, but had to Google it anyway.
It's not random, these songs are carefully selected you know!

I remember the winter before this one, making my predawn drive into work with snow coming down at a pretty good clip. And while stopped at a light, "Funkytown" came on w/ the lyrics:
Gotta make a move to a town
That's right for me
Town to keep me movin'
Keep me groovin' with some energy
Well, I talk about it, talk about it
Talk about it, talk about it
Talk about, talk about
Talk about movin'
Gotta move on
Gotta move on
Gotta move on
I remember "Yes, I want to move! And I keep talking about it". Finally we actually are moving, and to a warmer climate - yay!

Cool! Let's try to always let the sunshine in, Astro!
I just thought of another one today. My ex's grandmother died of cancer and at the day of the funeral, we all drove behind the car that would bring her body to the cemetery. As we got in the car, "always look on the bright side of life" started playing. As we were all sad, we decided to change the station. Another song just ended, and promptly "always look on the bright side of life" starts again. We all knew it was his grandma trying to cheer us up. I guess she was quite happy to be without pain again as she couldn't even eat or drink in her last days because everything came through a hole into her lungs.
(I'm not a native speaker and although my English is usually quite well, I seem to be having an enormous mindfart so please excuse any mistakes)
