You've done your own troubleshooting yes? Switching up browsers, tweaking your firewall settings, emptying temp internet files, etc.
It's up to you if you want to give up on chat - but there are lots of people using it that don't run into as much trouble as you do, so that makes me think it's something getting in the way on your end.

Whenever I go into the chat, there isn't anyone else there, so I never stay more than a few minutes :(

I love chatting and my husband is a computer nerd so he makes it so I can chat here easily however it still freezes up on me a lot.

Could be something my end .. I am certainly not a whiz on techno comp stuff .. lol.. Although I figure if I can get in here to talk and on other sites chat etc.. then its not my computer ..Does that make sense??? Help!!!! LOL
I am just trying to understand whats going on thats all.. my computer is still the same pre the forum problem ..Is it a different programn to posting on this thread? I do get occasional line out in chat ..its rare but does happen.
