i figured out why god isn't good. He won't give us candy all day long. Some tripe about how it would be bad for our teeth. What a trip!

I know you're probably making fun, but this actually is a valid reason to distrust God. If someone likes candy, he/she should have a never ending supply of candy available to him/her at all times, no questions asked. So what if it's bad for your teeth.......and I don't even think it's bad for your teeth anyway.

A valid reason for 'you'.
My comment, unsolicited as it is  is, I trust God 100% all the time...actually I rely on Him...not some
made up version from the Bible...I'm one of those weird people
that is visited by Him, Who has no gender.
Not that I'm special...but, sitting for hours and hours and hours and hours+
a sitting in stillness and silence for decades probably helps. 
And I figure I might have done something good in a past life.. or I'm so pitiful He felt He
better show Himself to me...it's toss up!!

May I butt in? I don't exactly think it was meant as deliberate lies...but that mankind's minds
could only interpret events from their primitive, superstitious fearful minds...they did the best they could.
These people didn't know where the Sun went when it disappeared, they thought
chariots were in the skies...to make my point. So, of course, they thought God was 'wrathful'.
