European Wolf.
The wolf pursuing it's rapid conquest of France, has reached the Vosges Mountains on the borders of Alsace-Lorraine for the first time in 80 years. A handful of Italian wolves recolonised the French Alps in 1993 and are thought to have multiplied to about 200 in 20 packs.. Needless to say, even though they are a protected species, views are very divided.
I wonder if I could manage to get a pack to stow away on a ferry to England. That would be the cherry on top of the cupcake for me !

AH now that would be a great thought.
But I doubt they would last long. For a nation of animals lovers, it tends to trail off when it involves animals that don't share our homes.

Athy - have some faith Even cattle ranchers in Yellowstone came to accept the re-introduction of the wolf eventually.
