I am familiar with Palo Santo Wood an oil. I use to sell the wood and the oil. I also made 'roll-ons' and incense sticks with it.
Your list of 'healing' properties seem to be spot on.
If you haven't tried it, I would recommend getting some of the wood. It has a fragrance you might not ever forget. If you should burn the wood, you might want that to become your favorite 'incense'.
The cutting oil that I mentioned is a synthetic oil that has no smell. It is used to 'make the essential oils' bearable to the skin. There are other oils that are used also that are not synthetic but they all seem to 'carry' with them their own 'smell'

A simple way to know the ‘purity’ of a so called essential oil is that if it is greasy to touch it has additives.

Have I been too trusting? If it says 100% Essential Oil...I believe it.
THO, I know scents differ for many reasons!
Like wine...each yr its different from the same vineyard.

IMPORTANT…
Not to forget also that ALL essential oils contain chemicals….
Always test them before you use them. Some people have Sensitivity and others Allergic reactions.

Terpenes: This is the largest group of chemicals found in essential oils, contributing to their characteristic aroma and fragrance. Examples include monoterpenes (like limonene and linalool) and sesquiterpenes.
Oxygenated Terpenoids: These are terpenes that have been modified by the addition of oxygen atoms. Examples include alcohols (like geraniol and linalool) and ketones (like carvone and terpinen-4-ol).
Alcohols: Plant alcohols are either derived from monoterpenes (monoterpenols) or sesquiterpenes (sesquiterpenols).
Esters: These are formed from the reaction of an alcohol and a carboxylic acid.
Aldehydes: These are organic compounds containing the functional group -CHO.
Ketones: These are organic compounds containing the functional group C=O.
Phenols: These are aromatic compounds containing an alcohol group (-OH) directly attached to an aromatic ring.
(Copied from my Hospital Documents) and can be delved into further on various Internet sites.

Holy cow. And this:
'When purchasing essential oils, avoid buying from retailers that don't provide the botanical name,
country of origin, or method of extraction. Also, be cautious of oils with synthetic ingredients, additives,
or those that are primarily sold for food/beverage or perfumery purposes. Look for pure, 100% natural oils..'

Are you saying these are dangerous chemicals and if so, should people avoid them at all cost?
