Looking for perspective on karmic relationships
I met my soulmate when I was a child and he passed away over 35 years ago. He was a family member, not a lover or significant other. His death also almost killed me, literally, and was more devasting than all other losses in my life combined. My same-sex best friend of over 25 years is my twin flame. We actually say what the other is thinking before they can say it. Both of these relationships have been intense and intimate but not at all sexual. So, should I expect to feel that same level of intensity from a life partner? I'm definitely attracted to men but have yet to meet one that makes me feel that way. I've never met a man that I couldn't easily walk away from. It's like the soulmate and twin flame relationships are in vivid colors and all of my other relationships have been in black and white. I quit dating over 10 years ago because I was tired of dealing with the drama. Am I crazy to expect more? Every romantic relationship I have been in felt like I was settling for what was available, no matter how great the guy was.
