there is no need for religion, there is want for religion. There is no such thing as need, because nothing is needed. That's exactly why you are free, and that's why spirituality is so beautiful. You are not 'chained' to any belief or need to believe. Just relax, embrace the air in your lungs with each breath and enjoy your life to the max, with absolute clarity of mind cultivated by simple breathing and being mindful. IMO of course.

This is the Spiritualism forum and 'Modern Spiritualism' offers explanations for many of the issues thought by folks generally to be only the province of mainstream religions....

quote: "there is no need for religion, there is want for religion." The want is not so much for religion in itself as a want to understand life, death et al or to find a place of security to hide when understanding is absent. Religion appears to offer explanations, perhaps understanding, even a place to hide.....but an in-depth look reveals something different....

That look into the teachings of many or most religions reveals a need to have belief in what is routinely taught, notions which often have little to offer in terms of evidence.

Modern Spiritualism - shortened in the title of this forum - offers explanation, understanding and evidence of all it has to say.

Welcome, members, to the Spiritualism forum, a religion which doesn't do what others do.

When Godhead said, “I don’t care,” I immediately understood that it is for us to care about. It is important, because we are the caring beings. It matters to us and that is where it is important. What you have is the energy equation in spirituality. Ultimate Godhead does not care if you are Protestant, Buddhist, or whatever. It is all a blooming facet of the whole. I wish that all religions would realize it and let each other be. It is not the end of each religion, but we are talking about the same God. Live and and let live. Each has a different view. And it all adds up to the big picture; it is all important.

Very nice...agreed....

Peace & blessings,

well hinduism isnt a religion its a title giben to us. hinduism is better known as bedic sanatana dharma and it means the religion of the soul. if u look upon all the religious book of hindus its all about freeing the sould from the body and the mind. keeping ur mind silent is a phase in a soul realisation. heres an analogy;
ur mind is a swan and the wings that it has is called jnana. the swan flies stretching it wings and crosses the ocean of birth and death cycle. this analogy is the essense of bedic sanatara dharma so in real a jnani is called a hamsa or swan and he who has attained moksha is called paramhansa or supremeswan. so hinduism is the religion of the soul at its best

I actually enjoy a little something from all religions. I think it speaks a lot for a certain culture and says a lot about their spiritual practice. However, though I enjoy learning things about different religions I do feel they can hinder your spiritual growth if you stick with the mindset that following one set of rules is the ONLY way to a fulfilling life and afterlife.
