Desert Island Discs
You are in a plane crash. It lands on a deserted island, you are the lone survivor. While struggling to start a fire, the local magical faery appears in front of you and says;
'i shall provide you with with a solar powered stereo system and grant you the ability to choose five albums, and no more, which you may listen to for the rest of your days on the island.
what albums do you pick?
I would have to spend some time to seriously consider my options, but i think i can safely say that one of them would probably be Bob Marley's 'Legend'
i'll get back to you on the other four.
Always a great topic, imo. Good way to discover new good music also.
What five would you choose?

Rob Thomas
Enya
Savage Garden is definitely my favourite one of the lot - Affirmation is the best album in the world for me xxxx

Good question.
I like Bob Marley... but I'm not sure if I'd pick an album from him. Well, maybe.
Hm... This is tougher than I thought... Only 5?
Can I change my list in another 5 years, when my likes may have changed?
1. John Denver
2. Jordan Sparks
3. Beethoven
4. CD mix of sport songs... used to pump up the fans at professional sport games... & to pump me up.
5. Another CD album of various songs I put together... ... a little of various types of music/artists: Joshua Kadison, Rob Base, Air Supply, Kenny Rogers, Music from Les Mis & Mama Mia, Sound of Music, Alison Krauss, Billy Joel, KennyG, Relaxation-type music, & Bob Marley...
Oh! & some good Christmas songs... "I'll be home for Christmas"
Let's hear (or read) yours, Deusdrum.

I hate to complain, but none of you guys so far are playing by the rules at all.
Picking an artist is not allowed. That's part of the fun and difficulty; picking your favourite album from an artist. I guess i should have explained bit more.
No greatest hits. No just picking an artist. Total cheating. No mix cd's lol are you kidding? Albums. It must be an actual official album.

Kind Rule-Maker, despite many attempts to play by rules, I've realized it's more fun to play with the rules... Is that against the rules?. ;) Either way, don't let that stop you from making all the rules you want! (j/k)
I'll tell you what - this scenario about the island - well, I've experienced this in reality, but in a much more extreme way.
It wasn't pretty. It was a hot summer day - & tension was in the air. There were several of us - the majority being young people, so us unrealisticly optimistic grown ups were outnumbered & had no idea what we were in for. The young people were packed of energy & amazing volume. We were contained within small quarters (van)... aprox 15 x 5 feet for over 10 hours! It was a test in endurance that makes the ironman marathon look like a stroll in the park! And the only coping strategy I had (besides sticking my head out the window & screaming, hoping not to catch flies) - was my music.
I don't listen to albums - get tired of one type of music or artist, so I brought a bunch of CD's that have a mix of genres. Well, they saved the day, or at least my sanity... I think.
Anyway, Sweet, Rule-Enforcing, Deusdrum, I've yet to read your list...
