Spiritually awake in a messed up world
I think being awakes a good thing but also can make me feel alone and off my head at times.
So many people including my family and friends are still asleep and pretty much dumbed down to hellish world we live in.
Anybody else feel the same way?

I might suggest you read Ainslie MacLeod's book The Instruction. It's about understanding the age of the soul. Since reading his book, I have so much more understanding and patience for people around me.

You can be awake, face it and then detach because you would then understand yourself and your world.

Its another level of learning/awareness/growth how to be you and find your place just as you are. Waking up to yourself is one thing, waking up to the world around you is a reality check on yourself being awake and it takes you deeper into yourself to build a life more grounded as you are choosing to be. When you start to see those others waking up closer to you, you are starting to see the greater change in your reality, which can be a reflection of all sides in you more complete starting to reflect. Right now your aware of yourself awake and others asleep close to you, merging waking state with asleep state is showing you more of how you feel, more of how you wish to be, more of how breaking free can feel in this world will be.
There is always more..to build deeper connection, inclusion and peace of being.

I look at the world with misgivings. Seems that though the toys
become more expensive and hi-tech, humanity hasn't basically
changed since it first emerged. No lessons are learned from history.
Humans lack. Even some insects and maybe mammals have a
superior collective awareness, consciousness.
But I'm no proselyte. People are as they are, as individuals.
I observe - and let them be for the most part. We can learn from
each other as we enter others' lives. Sure, I protest at times.
When I sense someone's about to walk off a precipice I shout
in alarm. But it is up to them if they take heed.
Up to them to look around themselves, open their eyes.

I definitely know what you mean. For me after I while I accepted that that loneliness is a part of being part of the new arising consciousness. The more you become aware of those feelings and allow them to be, the less effect they have on you.
Same goes for the people in your surroundings which you have difficulty to connect with anymore. Seeing that they simply are currently at a level of consciousness which you might have been a number of years ago also (or today every once in a while fall back to) creates understanding and compassion.

In Zen, there are reportedly two wisdoms to cultivate once one "awakens".
1. The Marvelous Observing Wisdom.
2. The Perfecting of Action Wisdom.
I've noticed that realized beings tend to be very quiet and unnoticed for the most part while, as Ramakrishna noted, "those who know a little teach and preach". The masters just observe the Cosmic Drama as the greatest show imaginable and intervene wisely when inspired to do so with no expectation of a return and no judgments whatsoever.
One simply participates in the Cosmic Drama and enjoys the play. There are more attuned people around than one might suspect and a silent glance is revealing. One may be alone but not "lonely". One can watch/participate in the greatest play imaginable whenever one is inspired to act thus and yet rest in peace whenever one chooses to do so. What more could one ask for ?

Me? I hang with spiritually minded friends mostly...
I know that is not always so easy.
But if someone doesn't 'get it'.
I know they will when it is meant to be...
I also, think of those that are SO much more aware or advanced
than I am that gave
me aid along the way...their kindness and patience inspire me
to do the same...'be the light' to others...feeling alone disappears.
My experience.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.
