Father's Day, cleaning toilet dream

I dreamt it was Father's Day and I was at my parents house. I bought my step dad a gift that was a selection of sweets and a box of food that had fancy food that you added sprinkles and a dye to present it, I think it was salmon with grains and some yummy vegetables. When I was getting them ready Matt was taking the sherbet dippers out of the box and saying I haven't seen those for ages I want to keep a couple. But the box looked more bare without them included so I was a bit uncomfortable and said to put them back. Then with the food it was a salmon dish. When I went to get it for dad it was already opened and Matt had taken the dye out of it for his hair. Again I was a bit annoyed. Also I went to the toilet and it was really manky. I didn't want to use it so I cleaned it first. Behind the toilet lid there was loads of hair that hadn't been cleaned for ages and was all squashed up so I was scrubbing it clean. When I went into the living room and sat next to dad my sister moaned about the toilet so I said I cleaned it already and she was like oh thank goodness it would get all tissue there and I said I know it hasn't been cleaned for ages. Also there was a part were my youngest sister was upstairs getting ready and because she hadn't brought down her gift, we all had to wait to give them to dad as she wasn't there. There was also another part where we was driving Matt and I, there was all slim trendy girls walking around and I was feeling insecure about it. He was comforting me but I still felt bad about myself and how I looked.

I know you had a row with your mother over Father's Day so it seems like this dream is your sorting through that confrontation. Sounds like you are taking in healthy ideas (salmon and vegetables). And you are cleaning up your old toxic thoughts and feelings (dirty toilet and old hair which represents thoughts). You may not yet feel comfortable with yourself but you will get there. You will get your confidence to stand up for yourself the same as you are learning how to manage your thoughts and feelings. Next step may be to work on your self image. Learn to define it by your own standards not compare yourself to anyone else. Just cause someone is trendy and skinny doesn't make them better than you. To truly take your power back it is important to not look outside yourself for your worth and validation. You are perfect just the way you are.

I say its the respect they have towards your step father/ not to say there is little respect.....
the part when matt took out pieces of your step dads gift for himself tells me hes comfortable with taking a piece of your step dads prize which is ok considering step dads in a position to provide things...tho he might be a little too comfortable taking too much......sitting on the couch your sister probably knows the problems in the house hold and your presence being there might remove those problems... they could be personal issues of relating with eachother when your not around to witness...…..oh and the last part tells me you are seeing yourself in a future position to be a father and looking for your 'partner' out there in all the pretty woman passing by...
