Hello Colton. I peeked at your website, cochecked a few terms with Wikipedia, and it looks like your shamanism is based primarily on Max F. Long's Huna path. I am curious as to how this particular direction relates to traditional shamanism's approach to communicating with the spirit world.

Not Max F. Long, but Serge Kahili King. He is Huna though and while I'm a neo-shaman my training is based mostly in traditional Huna shamanism. So it is traditional. Personally, I do a lot of grokking with spirits for a deeper connection if I need it. Usually I can just perceive and communicate with them more through feelings/emotions through my third eye.
