Does turmeric powder drink is staining teeth ?

Turmeric have many health properties, it's known by our modern scientists as well as by the traditional indian medecine. It's antioxidant, boost the immune system, antibiotic,
anti inflammatory …

But the turmeric powder is yellow and VERY staining. Do you know if it's possible to ingest orally such powder without staining your teeth ?

I take Turmeric in capsule form which causes no problem.

If you already have Turmeric powder, why not buy some blank capsules and reload your own?

I remember the dentist advising my son to use a straw when drinking liquids to save the sugars touching his teeth so much. Not sure this would avoid it altogether. What do you make OP, a smoothie or tea or something else?

I don't fancy ingesting those plastic capsules, are they plastic John?

I like taking plants and spices in raw form in my mouth because the taste tells me if my body wants them and I just brush my teeth after taking anything that stains.

The capsules are generally made from non-GMO and plant-based sources. They are made from two main ingredients which are 100% plant derived Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) and water.

The capsules are also made from gelatin.

That's good you're listening to your body. Not an easy task I'm sure though, some flavours quite overwhelming that concentrated?

Plant based sounds good then. Not so much the gelatine though. Thanks for the info.

It seems turmeric doesn't stain teeth. Some people drink turmeric powder, some even brush their teeth with it to whiten their teeth.

That's nice for sure. I've not tried it as a toothpaste.
