Putting your own loftiness, personal desires, ambitions aside and placing Jesus higher and first?
We don't have to use the word ego if that bothers you.
For some these new psychological terms (1923) are as confusing as saying satchitanand or samadhi.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Not at all, it was about Christ's divinity. What did I just say??

31He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

The word ego does not bother me, just don't use it where it does not biblically fit.

This much is true, Jesus is God mystically, the trinity as we have been shown, along with the Father, and the Holy Spirit. The new Adam some have said.

We can be one in spirit too, mystically through the Holy Spirit. It's a mystery.

No place for over-inflated egos for sure, and divine love is good.

So I get your point now, it had to sink in, thank you.

Thomas Merton the renowned Christian monk spent time lecturing with Buddhist monks. I was a monk of the same Cistercian order for a short time.

Nowayout,

It can be different for many of us. For me there is no wrestling with faith because that is God given. The conflict comes via the religion as practiced. By the way, for me faith and belief are not synonymous.

For me faith and belief are synonymous. My faith in Jesus has to be grounded somewhere, however, I would not call myself dogmatic, but we do quote the bible often. It all comes back to interpretations, hence my struggle because it's not just smoke.

Jesus Prayed to the father, yet he was God too. I wrestle with that. I guess in his separation or being in the flesh he could pray to his father. Perhaps the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, the Father, and the son exist in a prayer full repose?

But hey, Peace be with you.

I'm going out for a beer.

The one who Prays and the one who is being Prayed too are one and the same .

Jesus said ' I and my Father are one '.

That's nice sky, I like that and when I pray I do align my heart with God.

We are one in the spirit, we are one in the Lord. A song we once sang during mass.
