I was just wondering, has anyone visited Salem Massachusetts ?

And if so, can you tell me a little bit about it ?

thanks much,

Wow, so you were serious about going to Salem, I thought you were kidding in our other conversation.

I was just wondering if you had any suggestions on what to do, see, places to go if one were to visit ?

Nope.. I am here not for Halloween..well its very compact.

Lots of tours, but I haven't done them though I may join the ceremony for the festival of the dead on 31st..

Lots of shops.. very touristy.. the memorials.. houses of relevance.. cemeteries depends what you like? they do ghost tours too which I think would be more interesting.. am here for another 3 weeks so I can let you know..

ok, compact, like a small city, easy to find your way around ?

I do hope you will share, if you join in on the festival of the dead... that is, if it is something you can or want to share. I would be interested in hearing about it.

Sounds like they have a little bit of everything. Ohhh ghost tours sound exciting, but I am not sure on those, I get scared easily

ok, silly question ... do they decorate for Halloween ? Some places do, some don't it seems.

Cool on you being there for 3 weeks, ( if it is not that you are there for a sad occasion ) . I will let you know if I think of any specific questions.

thanks much !

Yes everything is a couple of minutes walk away, you cannot get lost.
Lets say you can buy hats and capes for your dog and cat here..

Lots of outfits and capes/robes/crystals ( very well priced actually)

Depends when you want to come too as many places will close after Halloween too. I may do the witch walk tour just to see what they do.. guided by a real Salem witch, just out of curiosity..

Every where is decorated.. houses nearby and the streets. They have a pumpkin patch on Salem Common.

Basically you can walk around the main part of Salem and do everywhere in 2-3 days.

Nice on your timing then, I figured end of Oct. most places might be closing up for the winter. I would love to just wander in the different shops. Are the leaves still on the trees and in color ?

Cool on the decorations. Witch walk tour sounds nice.
