Ready to die?

Are you sure that the term "die" represented physical life? The voice could be asking if you are ready to move away from what you perceive as true and move into real truth. It's a spiritual death that helps our souls evolve.

Tobi, I think Shabda came the closest...Sometimes Spirit--be it a guide or loved ones -present these questions to us for a reason--they already know the answer and your actual date of departure... Presented with what you believe to be an actual choice makes you look at your life from a different perspective altogether... There "is" a reason that you are still here in the physical.....

I had this strange short dream last night. It wasn't the slightest bit threatening, and seemed quite fair and reasonable.
I was kind of "asked" how ready am I yet to "die" (pass away from the physical life) There wasn't an actual voice, more of a telepathic contact. Also there were no "surroundings" in the dream. And any answer would do. But I sensed it was very important. I gave the exact answer I felt most at that moment.
Oddly it was interesting because I realized I am not quite ready to go. I felt a strong "tug" in my energies towards the landscape I live in, and realized I didn't want to leave it yet. That was the only thing that pulled me back. Nothing else did.
There was no pressure to "give any right answer" or anything like that. And there was a gentleness about the atmosphere of the dream, and the unspeaking, unseen Communicator. It was all quite pleasant.
But this dream really touched me at roots-level.

This is probably more of an indication of moving into a higher understanding or way of being. The physical realm has many layers that keep one form understanding being and while it may not seem like change is evident on the outside, inwardly you can remove another layer and grow wiser.

It's intriguing that the thread has been refreshed again after 2 years. The odd thing is, I was thinking of this particular dream the last 2 days!

I was also looking at whether my feelings had changed. I basically feel the same as I did about it 2 years ago.
