What does this mean - ducks

A few months ago I was leaving my house to take my grandson home. Across the street on the sidewalk were 2 ducks - a drake and it's mate. We looked at the ducks and drove on. This is not so unusual as there are ponds around my housing development. I hear ducks a lot but I have never seen them in the actual neighborhood. I took my grandson home, visited with my daughter, then went to leave. The house my daughter lives in was my old house. I lived in the house for 7 years. There are a few pools in the area but no water source at all. In all the years I lived in the house, I only saw squirrels. We were walking out the door and directly across the street on the sidewalk were 2 ducks - a drake and it's mate. I was completely shocked. How could this be? Even now it seems unreal. I'm not sure what this was telling me. Does anyone have any insight? J

The duck is thought to represent happiness and beauty and by some - resourcefulness.

Maybe there was a thought pattern or experience that connected both houses.

It could represent growth or comfort.

Or simply a quizzical, mystery to provoke enjoyment or mystery.. Otherwise translated into love and creative thinking.

Thanks for the responses. I talked to a friend of mine who believes they were family that had passed. They were giving me hope and love. 2014 was a difficult year and several traumatic events happened. I did go through a period of feeling hopeless. I think I missed the point of the ducks. I focused on how strange it was instead of what they were trying to give me which I believe was hope. It was so odd that it's kind of a miracle. That was a way to show hope.

There are no coincidences. The ducks were definitely a gift. Do you enjoy watching ducks or have in the past? if you don't see any connection now, you may at a later date.

I do like ducks very much. They are a graceful and friendly animal. I go outside with my dog and we hear the ducks almost everyday. My neighborhood is designed to be a refuge for water animals. It's quite beautiful. Appearing as a duck would get my attention.
