Hi Amerpreet

It is good that you have found a meditation practice which works for you and which you enjoy. TM is a simple meditation, just repeating your mantra for twenty minutes morning and evening. There are other simple forms of meditation, such as observing the breath or just sitting and being present. These are all good practices.

I know people who began their meditation practice with TM back in the 1960s and 1970s, one of whom became a TM teacher giving out mantras. They found that (much as they loved using their mantra) they reached a plateau. They have since moved on to other forms of meditation.

It really depends what people want from meditation, but as long as TM works for you then enjoy it.

Peace

Just to be mindful is meditation enough. Be aware of your thoughts and keep them positive. Healthy mind = healthy body, meditation doesn't get any easier than that, since mindfulness requires no meditation at all. Amen

Yea. Unfortunately this is THE problem in the world. The lack of qualified teachers that bring the person to the ultimate. There's ideas of meditation and then there is mystical practice taught from the mouth of the Guru to the ear of the student not shard with the outside world.

If anybody finds themselves on a plateau they need to go find a teacher that can bring them up to the next step of the ladder. The risk of not doing this is that the practitioner just wanders aimlessly trying one thing or the next but never really getting anywhere substantial.

I find walking meditations to be simple and very effective.
