I am cursed !!!!.... Sometimes I don't want the "attention" when out and about, but I get it anyway !!!....but the strange thing is, I'm always lovely in general to everyone... .....one of my son's is 6 ft 5 ....an actor and a model. He is , without a doubt, gorgeous. I used to meet him, on occasion, in Leeds town centre, after I finished work. Leeds, being the third biggest city in UK. And I swear, whenever I walked through the city centre with him... The "looks " of disgust I would get off young women as if to say "what are YOU doing with him ?". . like we were a couple or something, as if I was some kind of couger. He is my SON for goodness sake !!!!

Ooohhh.... well, enjoy that attention!! When we're 80 and hobbling around it will be very different!!!! LOL.

And people will always be superficial like that (some). The ones who aren't will want to get to know you for YOU.

...And none of us can help how we "look" when were born. I can remember, as a young woman , back in the day, wearing a mini skirt, and high heels, walking down the road , hand in hand, on an evening out, with my husband, and men in passing cars. wolf whistling at me in passing. My husband of course, would "bristle" at the delight , as I was his "woman". Me.... I was just embarrassed. Another time, I was walking home from work, and a workman , sat on wall across the road, picked flowers from the garden, and ran across the road to give them to me, saying I was beautiful, and wanted me to have the flowers as seeing me had "made his day" ... Again , I didn't know where to put myself. I have never, in my life seen myself as "attractive", and these kind of actions from men always made me suspicious. I have no confidence in myself... ( Am guessing my parents, peers , knocked it out of me!).... But I do know, as witnessed first hand, some people have been jealous of my looks, to the degree of hatred on first sight. This has mainly been women while out socialising, in effect , afraid that I am in danger of running off with their "man"... Errmmmm.... Excuse me! Not my style !... Not interested in anyone's cast offs !

Well, you know, women can be very envious and jealous of those other women with extremely good looks. And they fear and think the worst - that you can capture the attention of their man.

So, women will hate you simply because you're good looking. It happens!!!!

It's good in my opinion to be humble rather than full of oneself. If one always thought they were just the most gorgeous thing on earth and that everyone must want them, then that's narcissism.

Believe me, I have never seen myself in "that way" , but apparently others do. I can remember walking through the busy town centre with my mother once, and I had a meltdown. I told her "we need to go home , I can't stand it, I need to get out of here" ... She asked me what I was going on about... What was wrong ?.... Told her, "I can't cope ... Everyone is looking at me .."....she said ... "Men will look at you, you are a very attractive young woman"... This did nothing for me , as I said in frustration... "But all the women are looking at me too... " ... To which she replied. " You are beautiful...they are admiring you, and wishing they looked like you !! ".... Still didn't believe her LOL...and went home !!!

Last year, and at my cousin's funeral, her younger brother, with whom I am very close, told me "when you were younger , we all expected that you would be a famous model ".... And I'm thinking "WHAT " ???.... I questioned him about it and he replied " oh yes, all the family thought it, and expected it of you"... He went on to say that everyone was dissapointed that it "never happened"..... This was the first I had heard of anyone saying I should be a model. I told him that, and his response...."Oh yes, you should have been..... And you still could be ... Look at you ..you're beautiful...."..... Goes without saying, made my day, me in my 50s..... Strange how people see you , but when you look in the mirror you see something else. People have "made " me feel ugly, because of how I've been treated .... So no matter how I "look" .. I am never a "threat" if I feel ugly ...and therefore , no need to be jealous....
