Very interesting read, so in my case I was acting as victim, but how can you not act this way when you are very sick and it feels like fading out of existence while you are in this place? It may be much easier to do it while you are healthy and to do it in a conscious way, but when it happens to you from nowhere, you freak out.

Nice link on the abyss. lomax
Not into magical rites or ritual but I do have ceremonial ritual and practices
so I followed along the reading pretty well.
But then again I think I understood, but did I really?
I could only relate it to my own experience.
I did enjoy the last bit about "don't be a sissy or a hero".
Also the staying in chore teachings that ground or center.
On the other hand I had a different type of abyss experience.
It's all good though.

Do you have any other links or thoughts on the topic?
It has peeked my interest, in how others have dealt
with similar circumstances.

I like this quote from your link Iomax:
"When we cross from creation to divinity we are stripped bare of all created forms that we hold as part of our own being: our body, our ego, our memories, our mind, etc. What passes through to the other side of the threshold is the individualised spark of divinity that we carry within ourselves. Rather than the crossing itself, it’s the process of re-integration into the world of creation upon one’s return that can be the even more problematic and painful experience.''
On the path of creation, instead of dissolution, the abyss can be symbolized as this place where all toughs forms that do not need to take form get crushed or recycled.
Regards

I'm sure you know some stuff about the abyss (from a kabbalistic view).
