A teacher can be kind and still correct a student.

Righteousness is invincible. Beliefs can never be correct because if you have the need to believe then you are automatically incorrect. Belief is meant to be utilized to reach for something more, to reach for the Truth. Not to say.. 'ok I believe, we'll see what happens when I die'. Death is not something that automattically rips away your free will and shoves you forcibly into the Truth of Eternity. You keep your free-will as long as you want. So really one only needs to be saved from oneself.

I think it is more kind to tell someone these things directly, then to let them spend potentially 100s of years lost in confusion.

If you think you're right, then fine.. you're right and you can keep being right as long as you want.. this is your own personal eternity.

And that, my friend, holds the wisdom that is needed on this thread.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I'm an old man now, 83, and this summer my health took a beating. I was long in hospital and then long in a home to recuperate. Went home, didn't manage it alone and now I am in an old people's home.

It all happened so fast but all for the best.

I have been inundated with kindness. From all sides and all corners. These people who are here to help, young and old, male and female are the spreaders of goodwill and gentleness.

I am very happy the way things have turned out. I'm in the right place at the right time.

Thank you Busby for sharing this.
Tip that you probably already know, (cuz I worked in these places)-
smile, even when you don't want to, when staff walks into your room...
make friends with them...they may be your needed allies one day.
