Can we watch our own funeral?

Many spiritual people here and elsewhere believe
-that souls don't die
-remote viewing in real time, or in space-time
-reincarnation

In this case, can our soul or consciousness watch our funeral, and
see who is there and what they are doing, and how sincere they are
with their attendance etc.

I think people are already doing this. Faking their death, and enjoying watching how everyone reacts to that *deleted* event.

Back, during WWI, a book was written that talked on such matters.

Definitely this happens through reincarnation- it’s just a journey- not much you wouldn’t experience while going through reincarnation—- it’s jam packed with events of such matters, it’s only logical that we transcend our consciousness and adapt to new scenarios…

Yes I think you can watch as a soul, but why would you, since you're not on the earth plane anymore, affected by the earthly human feelings?

There have been many reports of recently passed individuals attending their funeral. It's an indicator how quickly some individuals adjust to their new environment that they're able to visit the earth dimension so soon after their corporeal death.

As for whether it's done to observe how many are attending or how sincere they may be I think you'd need to ask each individual spirit their motives. It's slightly cynical conjecture otherwise.

There's nothing to say we can't remain interested and concerned about those we leave behind.

Where did you hear that? Not effected by earthly human feelings
anymore?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I wouldn't say that, personally at least. I would still care for the only person I ever cared for, but no more for the feelings of abandonment and the human worries. It's just a small nuance.

Sorry, I meant "affected".
I didn't hear that anywhere, just something I "know", somehow. I mean, it's true, everybody agrees that, as a soul, we don't feel the same we feel as humans, than as a soul. No grieving, regrets, and so on. Just love.
Just "feels" logical to me. But then, I'm kind of a hard-to-digest cookie.

I talk about the general situation, the one that applies to folk generally, rather than a personal situation, personal feelings etc. Looking at your personal situation but extrapolating it into a general statement or principle is myopic.

The other aspect I am forever banging on about is that many folk totally fail to appreciate that when they've passed over their outlook is likely to change.

Many seem to think that they know exactly how they will feel after they have passed over but from the teachings of spirit guide, and based on the accounts of very ordinary individuals, after we've left this dimension we'll have a very different perspective.

It might mean that all the things we're resentful about will feel very different when we understand so much more.

Some souls stick around to watch their own funerals for a variety of different reasons, ie to see who is attending, others can't wait to get the hell out of here and go to pastures new.
