Is yoga demonic?

I plan on getting into yoga very soon, but I've heard it's demonic and you can see hell, etc. Is that true?

WOW! Pretty intense question. I have never done yoga in my life, don't plan on it either. I just don't see it as demonic at all, a little silly looking but not demonic. No matter what you do, if you try hard enough you will accomplish your true intent. If you want to see demons you will even in the most holy of places. In any kind of meditation you will experience your true deep down intent. Good luck with your yoga and have fun.

NO it is not demonic.
Many can be afraid of things they don't now about, then pass that ignorance or fear
about something to others, I have seen, anyway.
Is stretching, helping your joints demonic?

I've seen things insinuating this as well. When I was in fear of practically everything, I wondered myself.

I think you have to take a step back and analyze if you are a getting a real verifiable benefit from the practice. If you are, then how can it really be bad? The benefit of the practice is well documented.

No yoga is not demonic. This is a false belief pushed by the very extreme Christian groups that see anything that is not Christianity as demonic. Yoga is good for the body and good for the mind. Yoga helps one become mindful of their body and improves flexibility and balance. The mediation part of yoga helps you to learn how to be mindful and still the mind chatter. It helps lower blood pressure and relieve stress. It is not demonic.

Thank you for the insight! I guess people fear what they don't know or challenges their beliefs.

Hatha yoga poses were often copied from animal poses.

If you observe closely, you can see your dog and cat doing yoga like poses such as stretching and relaxing.

Many hatha yoga poses also have animal or bird names.

Mayurasana means the 'peacock pose' and Simhasana' means the 'lion pose'.

So these are just poses used for relaxing the body, and are useful in reducing physiological and psychological stress.

It is stress that creates negativity and compels people to be reactive, emotive and conflict-prone.

A relaxed person is bound to be positive, balanced and patient with issues seeing them in the correct perspective and solving them easily.

Someone could say:
Not doing yoga is demonic.
Thinking yoga is demonic is demonic.
People saying that yoga is demonic are influenced by the demonic.
Not researching what yoga is for is demonic.

I couldn't stop.
