Ah ok.
Sahasrara Chakra is the name used for the energy center located at the top of the head, also known as the thousand petal lotus.

Thanks...ah, I saw the 1000 Petaled Lotus Flower....
the instant I became 'aware' of ' it--- ''Oh I'm seeing the Thousand Petaled Lotus Flower''... (now I laugh!)....well, it vanished...
I was just in the observing stage of wonder, I guess, then became aware of 'me'...oh well.
At least, I can say I made it 'there'!!!! 
(Then, I understood all the Indian silver jewelry with many petaled lotuses.)

Sounds to me like a legit moment of insight.
It vanished because of the conscious mind that got in the middle.
It happened to me as well several times.
Things appear or happen to you, and at the moment you'll try to engage consciously,they had gone.

Yes, also happens to me all the time but I managed to prolong this by not switching to the conscious mind right away ( of course, instinctively ), not an easy task, took me months and months. It's done instinctively, basically I set the intent in my being to see more and for a longer time.
