Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

I find such information to be of interest.
One Temple I use to visit a lot has on the outside a huge mural depicting all of the Heavens and Hells of Buddhism. The interesting part is the Lower Heavens and the Upper Hells overlap.

Bhadrakalpika Sutra
This Mahayana sutra gives a little about each of over 1000 buddhas, past and future. The version below has both Tibetan and English.
The Fortunate Aeon: How the Thousand Buddhas Became Enlightened, four volume set (Berkeley: Dharma Publishing, 1986).

This new translation is not in print but they offer free e-book versions. It is an excellent translation with helpful notes & Introduction. This 84000 project has many splendid sutras!

Lately, I have been visiting various Buddhist Temples. I am amazed at how much of what we call 'super natural' is depicted in murals and statues.
Found it interesting that last week, November 15 and 16 during the full moon was a 'holiday' celebrated in many of the Buddhist countries. The celebration is claimed to be a 'continuation' of the Hindu festival of lights portraying light over darkness. The celebration goes by various names depending on the country.
In the Buddhist countries that celebrate this event: it is the Hindu Water Goddess that is remembered. The event is celebrated by floating little barges in the canals and rivers in remembrance of the Water Goddess.
