Balancing your energy throughout the day.
Hi everyone. I noticed this in myself. Sometimes I end up feeling happier toward the end of the day than I do at the start. I think the reason for this may be because I am in the worker bee mode at the start of the day. I am in the mode where I am trying to get things done.
At the end of the day I tend to start feeling happier. This is possibly because I already did my work for the day and I am just more joyful.
Does anyone know why this is? Maybe it's a masculine/feminine energy balance thing?

For me it simply has to do with not being a morning person. Never have been, never will be.
When I discovered my Chinese element (the 5 elements thing) is Wood and reading about that it explained a lot.
Woods aren't morning people. They have difficulty rising early and getting going. They're evening/night people.
Typically they feel better and happier later in the day and then also have way more inspiration.
Another thing...
If you're very busy -regardless of time of day- you're in Beta brainwaves, possibly even high Beta brainwaves. If you're sensitive that might not feel good or, if it last long, kinda wear you out.
Later in the day, certainly in the evening, our brainwaves slow down. We go in Alpha brainwaves which is more relaxed.
That's why in the evening creative/artistic people do better as it's easier to get inspiration and creative ideas when in Alpha brainwaves.
Generally speaking people are in either low, mid, or high Beta during the day. (it's when you're busy, thinking, working etc.)
If your schedule is more relaxed later in the day -but still before Alpha time- you likely shift into low Beta, which already is more relaxed. (High Beta is actually being stressed. Low Beta is the state before Alpha.

For me it's simple.
I'm a sensitive and naturally , like anyone, I had to always go out and do a day's work. All my working life I have worked with the public which for an Empath can be very draining and it's crucial to keep my balance.
By the end of the working day my nervous system had as much as I could cope with and I needed to get home to my "quiet" space to escape from the chaos and noise of the day.
I think that is why I'm a morning person. Always had jobs where I needed to get up at silly o'clock, 3.30 am etc for decades.
I realise that is so I can get all my daily work/ duties done as quickly in the day as possible .
I am more or less housebound now but it's all built in. I still get up around 3am and usually by 5am I have prepared meals for later and done laundry etc.

Makes me wonder if you're a Water when it comes to the Chinese elements. Water people can/do rise early.
I too prefer quiet over busyness, but I still couldn't get up at 3 in the morning!
I've generally only been to sleep for 1,5 hrs by that time, haha.
Sometimes, by the time I'm in bed, teeth brushes and in PJs, it's 2 in the morning.
If I'd have to get up at 3, I'd have to go to bed around 19.00 (7) or a tad earlier.
To me the evening is for living, enjoying, relaxing, interacting etc. My reason for living would be seriously impacted if I'd had to go to bed at 7 and miss out on the best time of the day.
Also, how do you socialise? With partner and young kids I mean. At some point even kids go to bed later, so then your partner would have to put the children in bed?
And what about that Tai Chi class (for instance) in the evening or going out to a pub every now and then?
You can't do any of that.
Isn't it amazing how different people -and their needs in life- are?!!
I really wonder if you're a Water (5 Elements).

Haha, so funny fairy.
I look at it like this...
We all have 24 hours in our day and we used those hours to accommodate our own individual needs !
For example , I DONT socialise in the evening.
This for me would be like torture !
I do my socialising in the daytime ( as and when I can / could).
I was always ok in my own home looking after my children in my own little world.
I was fine with that as long as no one came knocking at the door.
I've always been a homebird and early riser.
All my babies were born in summer when it gets light at like 2/3 am. After their 2am ( ISH) feed I would not sleep . Instead , I made the most of the peace and would make bottles, clean, do all the laundry and hang it all out about 4am !!!!
Some might call me weird , but to me it was all normal !

OMG, I'm a morning misery. By afternoon I'm almost bearable, but hardly even pleasant. I accept your explanation for it - it makes perfect sense - but what the hell is going on with me?!
