...... THE CARROT .....

Think of a carrot and how it must feel
Being dragged from the ground to be put in a meal
Being dragged from the earth to be blinded by light
Being dragged from its home after sleeping all night.

Think of a carrot and how it must feel
To be taken away and stripped of its peel
To be chopped into bits, and put on to boil
To end up like that after leaving the soil.

Think of a carrot and how it must feel
To be pulled by its roots ,that's not much of a deal
They're not always boiled, but it still won't survive
Cos if they're not cooked they are eaten alive .

Carrots are braver than brave it would seem
Cos they suffer so much, yet they never once scream
They go through such torment, and suffer such pain
But I've never yet heard a carrot complain.
