I have an idea that you might like. You write your phone number in an envelope. Write you would like to have a coffee with him. You could give the envelope to him or someone else to give it to him. If he is interested he will contact you. You will not see him again in two weeks time as he will not be there. If it does not work then it will not be awkward as you will no longer see him. If you do not do this then you might regret it later on and it is too late.

It's quite a good idea. He's not there today. So he could well have moved onto another job. Although this job isn't finished yet.

Just seen him ten minutes ago. He jokingly asked me to make him bacon buttys. I said haha yeah I could just eat one of those. He said I'll go buy us one if you like. Then I laughed and said sounds good. Then that was it.
I came in the garden and I'm back inside.

I just can't be so bold. He clearly can't either. I just haven't got the confidence and I feel it's his job as the man. He's with his pals again too.
