Well, it is the ego that thinks it has reached enlightenment, when it thinks it is separate, there is really no difference.
We are always aware of our Self. You can know, and understand the Self/self and the eternal and infinite right here and right now, without having to use the subjective imagination, guessing and wishful thinking.

Spirituality is not about enlightenment, and is not even about being perfect, spirituality is about having a foundation based on truth and honesty, or should be anyway.

What is unknowable is not worth you knowing, your mental effort, your perception and awareness. I mean the word worth above in a positive way, as in the knowing I am talking about is a function of the mind. As I said before, the Self/ mind and the eternal and infinite right here and right now aka ultimate/absolute reality are knowable, that is what self inquiry and self-realization is all about.

I am pretty sure Tao Te Ching called it the "nameless", so people will not call the "nameless" the wrong name/label.

It also makes sense to me that the unknowable concept was created so people will not have beliefs that are not based on truth and honesty, and the unknowable concept backfired, like how it seems every other spiritual concept backfired.
