Happy Easter!

What is everyone doing?

We are having a family dinner. Made a pineapple cream pie last night. Then we will bbq turkey burgers and make some sides.

No Easter egg hunting here, we have no little one to enjoy it with.

Hi Anala.... Ooohhhh your pineapple cream pie sounds so lovely, as do your burgers !!
I've been doing same, cooking family food and nothing much else .
I take time to reflect on the meaning of Easter and the reason for it.
We are the same , no chocolate in our home , but some was sent from us to the youngsters in the family.

Yes, Easter is a good time for reflection.

Learned that fresh pineapple won’t set in gelatin because of the enzymes. The springform pan leaked and left a watery puddle in the fridge. Scooped the pie into the bowl. Still just as yummy, but not very pretty, lol.

Counted our blessings and had our first true spring day. And dreamed of starting garden seeds.

LOL... I'm guessing the prettiest of foods looks very different when all chewed up in the mouth !!
Ahhh yes... The first spring day and it's such a delight. Gives us hope. My daffodils have been and gone, as have my snowdrops . At the moment my tulips are blooming and next will be the cherry blossom tree and then the bluebells .
It's a beautiful time of year.
Happy Spring Anala ...

Seems i must be the bearer of bad news--The Chaldean rites of spring, with the dyed eggs of Pasch and the rabbit signified fertility--a holiday to the false God-Astarte=Ishtar on the Assyrian monuments--The H is silent its pronounced-eastar-- They named that holiday after a false god.
