That's exactly right...I happen to not look at the goofy, crazy stuff...
I believe that is one reason God gave us a brain.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

I probably would not be here if it wasn't for 'slavery'.
One of my ancestors, back in the 1600's, was living in what is modern day Maryland, USA. Records show he was an indentured slave a lot of times. I suspect he was indentured more times then anybody else.
The records don't show how he got to Europe but the records do show he would be an indentured servant on his way back to what is modern day Maryland. He would always come back as the captain of the ship. I suspect he was an indentured servant when he went to Europe and was the captain of the ship.
One time, he left Europe as an indentured servant and brought back to what is modern day Maryland an indentured servant. When they landed, they went and got married. Through that marriage, I was born.

In yoga sutras you can also find such things.
But at some point in the practice, people have the power to direct and control others.
Said differently, there is no such thing as "my thoughts" and "others' thoughts", or my pain and others' pain, people act more as a group.
However slavery based on physical domination has existed, even our current economic system is based on hierarchies with minimum empathy involved.

That's not slavery. To be a slave is to be owned, to be a property of someone and forced to work. To resist is to get punished severely or even murdered.
If we use the word slavery to show our grievances with other things we end trivializing it and forgetting what it actually means.

It's a concept, it has no meaning in itself.
Slavery was effectively this and that behavior at a time, but it's taking another form today.
If slavery in the form of the bible and the greek / roman empires is still taking place today, then I would qualify it as slavery from more than 2000 years ago.

I don't have a mission... I just stated what is in the bible... this is the first time I am bringing up the topic...

Actually, it seems that " slaves" is mistranslated:
See: https://www.biblehub.com/1_peter/2-18.htm#lexiconGreek
Servants, οἰκέται (oiketai) Noun - Vocative Masculine Plural
Strong's 3610: A household servant. From oikeo; a fellow resident, i.e. Menial domestic.
Obviously, this is about " not holding grudges or anger", because that is bad for you.
JC doesn't say that you shouldn't honestly and industriously pull yourself out of that social status.
Nobody's entitled to anything. Everybody's about where they planned to be when they incarnated. One of the reasons people are in unpleasant situations is for them to find ways to get out of those situations.
When something doesn't make sense to you, don't jump to the conclusion that another is wrong. You may not understand what you believe you do. At least double-check your data and reasoning, then look intuitively at the situation and your conclusions.

God is a teacher of agape-compassion and it mhst happen through human free will. Slave owner must realize this to be changed (repented). Similarly for a slave, forgivness, opportunity to escape materialism of his condition and think about spiritual .
