Greetings to you All,
I had a nose operation for a melanoma - skin cancer. A skin graft was taken from my neck and sewn onto my nose. Everything seems to have worked. So far all clear. But I must check for any lumps or bumps that appear 'anywhere' on my body.
Right out of the blue I had Gout in my left foot.
One of the side effects to the Gout tablet cure was ... cramp.
And boy did I get severe cramp in the thigh muscle of that left leg.
A few weeks later a lump appeared in the same area I'd had the cramp.
I got my local doctor to check it out .. twisted muscle due to the cramp. A year later I'm still getting the odd stinging twitch.
Every three months I return to our big hospital to have a cancer check up. I asked the cancer nurse about the lump in my leg - nothing to worry about. Elderly people often get a fatty lump appear somewhere in there body and that's what that is - I'm 70
During another of these three monthly check-up's I had an ultrasound scan on my head and chest. I asked about the lump on my leg. Permission was granted and the lump was scanned. ...... varicose vein.
So there you go ... a choice of three.
Makes me wonder which one is right .. but I'll settle for it being a varicose vein.
