Feeling The Need To Fight

I'm not sure this is the right forum to post this but dont know where else to post but I keep getting this strong urge to pick a random fight. Not sure what to do. No one else seems to understand my need to fight and besides for some stupid reason fighting is against the law here a way.

You can channel your aggressiveness into something creative. Aggressiveness is natural and necessary; it depends on what you do with it. Anger is detrimental to your well-being.

I don't intend to fight ...

Would really like to pick up martial arts but that's kind of hard with the virus which just makes me even more mad. I could try channeling it into something creative I fo like drawing and writing but I'd rather be fighting for real then writing a fight scene. My friend suggested getting my energy out through playing video games but still I'd rather get into a real fight than fight in a video game.

Not entirely sure about agression actually being expressing anger through creativity. I'll have to think about this some but I'm not even sure how to express myself that well through art and besides no one seems to pay attention to me anyway they probably wouldn't even notice my art.

Do you know what is the source of your "need to fight" (did you mean physical fight, quarreling, ..)? Considering what I highlighted in your post, maybe your need is rooted in some frustration. You might want to identify and deal with that.

Anyway, you need to have confidence in yourself. If you do, the others will go along.

Again, there is nothing wrong with aggressiveness. It is needed for faster and focused progress, to stimulate creativity. Love isn't enough ... :)

This is going probably sound weird but it is actually quite common.

When I am feeling very anxious, I get weird violent urges to stick my hand into a moving blender or down an insincerator while it is on.

I have not ever done it thankfully but it is usually a strong indication that I am feeling overwhelmed and powerless in some area of my life and I need to participate in an activity which will sooth me and make me feel more empowered.

Violent urges are actually quite common in people who are feeling overwhelmed and anxious, even powerless.

It is at this point that I usually go for excercise or so something which makes me feel positively empowered. Sometimes that is a creative activity and sometimes it is taking one small action towards what I need in the situation which is specifically overwhelming me.

For example, if I am feeling overworked and burdened by extra responsibilities, I find a way to reduce my load and find some time for something I enjoy, such as going for a swim, really anything which GIVES me energy rather than depletes it.

Sometimes another person's words and actions make me feel disempowered and fearful, so I find actions which make me feel positively energised and empowered such as learning about assertive communication.

I find it useful to know some answers to the following questions:
What gives me energy? What depletes my energy?

I do my best to regulary participate, daily when I can, in activities which give me energy and empower me.

Yeah, definitely do combat sports if you can. MMA, boxing, or thai boxing. That way you can find out whether you really like to fight. Whether you like getting hit back. S*cks you can't do martial arts now because of the virus. Hopefully that ends soon.

You can try doing what this guy did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Fr-qiGbs70

I took up boxing for a while, which I initially felt a little uncomfortable as I was the only female in the room and I am quite short.

The trainers were really kind and encouraging and I felt very safe.

We boxed for 30 minutes and did an excercise circuit for 30minutes.

It was fun. I always felt more positively minded afterwards actually, endorphins are feel good chemicals.

Occasionally I feel inspired to follow a youtube dance tutorial, just for giggles and a bit of fun, get the endorphins going and have a laugh.
