Thumbs up

Gratitude is key with regard to preventing becoming embittered in life, i.e. it keeps life sweet!

I place great store on gratitude and it really puts things into perspective e.g. comparing my 'lot' to less fortunate others.

A daily constant gratitude for me is on waking and appreciating still being alive...something precious but easily taken for granted/overlooked.

I guess having a positive mindset helps too. I call myself a realistic optimist, i.e. like to see reality for what it is but take a positive spin on it - look for the silver lining (there is, invariably, one if perceptive and/or open minded.)

Gratitude can be displayed in how we feel about these Forums. When this Forum was 'down', some of us went to an alternate Forum which accepted us without any questions. When the Forums came back 'up', we returned.

Thank you for your lovely post!

I, too, try to be a realist yet with a positive mindset. These days, it's been a huge challenge for me since I am not working and I need to find a job. It's been very hard.

There is always a silver lining to be found though, in any given situation - thanks for the reminder!!!!

I didn't try to find another forum, but I was certainly sad without this one running for as long as it was down. I am SO grateful it is back up!!!!!

Nice to see you again!
