What does one do with a poinsetta plant ?
Random question, wasn't sure where to post it. At Christmas I was given a poinsettia plant, kept it on the table til Easter, then moved it to another room just because ... Christmas was over
totally forgot to water it , then today I happened to notice, instead of shriveling up, it is growing again... dead leaves all over the floor, but new green shoots and leaves.
Can I put it outside in the summer and take it in again before the frost ?
Thanks much !
Dream Angel xx

That depends where you are. If you're in central Brazil, then it will be fine. If you're in Antarctica then no, it will die.

Without knowing where you are, all i can suggest is you lookup your USDA hardiness zone, which despite the name is a standard thing adopted in many countries.
Poinsettia is hardy in zones 9 or above, so if the zone you are in is 9 or above, it will be fine outside.

If you keep it alive, you could have one again next Christmas. I faced the same thing--not real fond of them as plants. And plants seem to know if you "like" them!
