The urge to serve
For a feel good factor
Though with gusto and verve
Act of doership, ego the detractor

Hermit resolute
Knows his life's mission
Recognising ego’s in pursuit
For each act, seeks God's permission

primal feral instincts
involuntarily stir
catching us off guard
yet here they are
vibrations unwelcome
which so appear
where grow their roots
which we nurture

sometimes it so happens
love knocks on icy hearts
and is cold shouldered

in timeless time jagged rocks
are smoothened by the river’s flow
love employs no force

unconscious souls
yet rooted in animal nature
appear cloaked in human form

the indwelling spirit
is the same within all
only coordinates differ

there’s neither judgment nor shame
the sunlight continues to stream
on all life without prejudice

Spiritual practice is doomed from the start,
since any ritual involves our doership
and therefore unless ego’s made to depart,
futile is our meditation or worship,
unless ofcourse we choose to add love to cart,
exiting shallow game of one-upmanship,
whereupon once no agenda is tabled,
by God's grace, soul's ascension is enabled.

behold heart contractions
appear in consciousness
it shouldn’t be so but is
leaving us astonished
so we witness tremors
just looking nonchalantly
the thought’s self-conscious
feels lonesome since it is unfed

it is a standoff
in time stretched silence

the imaginary bubble of delusion
bursts noiselessly in the void
for it’s existence depends
upon our attention

betwixt the ebb and flow
waves of bliss cascade within
dynamic stillness envelopes being

mere objects
bliss beats beep

resounding
throbs within

In awe of God, with love not fear,
soul’s innocence rests lower mind,
tuning in to divine rhythm kind,
letting not lower thoughts appear,
deeming all as one and thus dear,
playing our life role as assigned,
in awe of God.

When bliss beats rise, we sense He’s near
and follow love’s scent in trust blind,
that we be by its hues defined,
shaped by spirit, we choose to steer,
in awe of God.

Our heart’s gripped in childlike delight
Nodes tingling within, the new norm
As rapture peaks by day and night

Our central vein is ignited

Head and heart, with love united
Willingly to God’s laws conform

knowing is not the becoming
until we assimilate wisdom
recognising within heart
lies God’s kingdom

yet having been and so seen
truth of underlying reality
in the midst of storms
we retain clarity

within the womb of existence
there’s no haste to ascend
standing still all we do
our will to God bend
