Ambient music is a genre of music that puts an emphasis on tone and atmosphere over traditional musical structure or rhythm. ... Intended to relax, the genre is said to evoke an "atmospheric", "visual", or "unobtrusive" quality.Space music, also called spacemusic, is a subgenre of new-age music and is described as "tranquil, hypnotic and moving". It is derived from ambient music .
My favorite Ambient artist is Shlohmo . I started listening to him in 2010 on a music channel called
'Zen' when I used to have Direct TV.

I really love What David Bowie and Brian Eno (pioneer of Ambient Music) has done on David's albums Low and Heros. My favorite songs are 'Subterrneans' , 'Moss Garden' and 'Neukolln'.

I really like ambient sounds and music that doesn't involve some fast paced noise or voices..
Not that I don't listen to that, but most of the times I prefer something serene..

That's a great mix you found on YouTube. I like the ones that don't play the same beat over again but transitions to another one. |

The last 6 minutes are particularly nice, if only that part was an hour..!!
As for sounds where it's the same over and over again.. I find them rather useful for relaxation. It helps forget time..
